Joe is a Renaissance Man. He paints, writes, collects antiques, and teaches - these are just some of his talents. Joe received his B.F.A. from SUNY at Purchase, where he met the director of this project and they became close friends. Purchase has remained a part of Joe's life as he returns intermittently to teach classes in art. One of Joe's main passions is etching. He has a body of work depicting gargoyles atop of New York City buildings. Joe has sold many of his etchings which will no doubt become collector's items one day. For several years, he worked on Broadway doing Cleavon Little's make-up in the Emmy award-winning play, I'M NOT RAPPAPORT. In his spare time he collects antiques from the Victorian Era and has a gift for dating, and appraising them as well. He was a sure thing for this project based on all of his talents and his limitless energy. :::END::: |
