Alex Lugones got his start in film at the ripe old age of ten, when his Dad bought him his first super-8mm camera. His early filmmaking efforts gained him acceptance into SUNY at Purchase's Theater Arts and Film Department, where he received his B.F.A. His thesis film, BONE WHITE, was showcased at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum in New York City. He worked as a video editor, in a Connecticut-based facility, assembling corporate training videos for several years before he decided to work as a night clerk at a motel, in order to afford him time to write screenplays. In the years that followed, he wrote, directed and edited several video programs for a local cable outfit. Two of the programs, dealing with difficult adolescent issues, were nominated for A.C.E. (Awards for Cable Excellence) awards in the category of short-subject television programs. In 1996, Alex founded aXa Media Group, a solely operated media consulting and video production company. His experience with 3D graphics over the last 6 years has enabled him to create and execute the motion graphics effects and titles in MY LETTER TO THE WORLD.
